What is ECMH?

ECMH stands for European Conference on Mental Health. ECMH is an annual event and learning platform for mental health professionals, service users, researchers and everybody interested in the field. So far, ECMH conferences have been arranged in Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Czech Republic, Germany, Croatia and Northern Ireland. In 2020 and 2021 ECMH went online due to covid situation. 10th anniversary of ECMH was held in Lisbon, Portugal in 2022, and year 2023 the conference was arranged at Ljubljana, Slovenia.

At ECMH we believe that services and care processes can be improved with respectful collaboration between different parties. In our conferences every participant’s voice is as important. We give arena for research, practice development, projects and personal experience. ECMH community supports first-time presenters and speakers and those coming from low-income countries. We always have close collaboration with local partners in psychiatric hospitals, universities and service user associations.

Our motto is:

Looking for Evidence Together!

Feedback of 2022 conference

We are in this all together, we have more common than differences and this attitude could helps all clinicians in their work but also in their personal lives.

Feedback of 2022 conference

“Personally I think it is an excellent conference. Really well put together, thoughtful, considerate, inspiring. People talk about the ECMH family – cliched but true.”

A fine possibility to meet other people working with mental health all over the world, share you knowledge and learn from the others, The content was relevant and up to date in terms of an ever changing landscape in the field of Mental Health. Its still the best learning and networking event of the year. The multi professional and service user oriented program and networking. ECMH is an excellent “platform” to learn new things and interact with other people with the same interests.

working in mental health in any field or sector. Great job.
